If you’re anything like me, you’re always keenly aware of what celebrities like (for better or for worse). Generally, I don’t care what kind of cars they’re driving, but I do care about small things. If a celebrity swore by reasonably priced toothbrush – i’d give it a shot – after all they have the means to get any brand they want. When it comes to candles, which I love, i’m always on the lookout for new scents. Every time I watch a reality TV show or a home tour my eyes immediately look around the room, wondering what smell is wafting through the air in that moment. A reality TV show fight? With crisp apple in the background? Hmm, interesting. Here are some of the candles i’ve identified that celebrities swear by or just have around.
Taylor Swift: Le Labo – Santal 26
From Le Lobo in New York, Taylor has had this candle in her home numerous times. Most prominently she had guests over her home for her album release and this was in the background. Touted as “Gentle, smoky, and leathery” most reviews say it has a vanilla scent. It’s on the pricier side too, with a single candle going for as much as $80. So, it’s definitely a luxury. If Taylor doesn’t sell you on this one, you may have to take Jennifer Lopez’s word for it because she’s been seen enjoying this one too. As for the brand? It’s one of Kylie Jenner’s favorites.
Kylie Jenner: Le Labo – Cade 26
From the same creators, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star (among many, many other things) has also been seen as a fan of Le Labo. According to interviews between Cade 26 and Santal 26 – she purchases over 50 of them… each month. It does make sense that she would appreciate both since Cade is described as “a close cousin of the notorious SANTAL 26, yet smokier (due to the cade, of course), deeper, and more baroque.”
LeBron James: Diptyque – Baies
Lebron James has been seen with this scent not just in the USA, but also while traveling – which makes sense coming from a Paris brand. The baies means berries if we didn’t know that already (I didn’t). The smell is describes as a blend of blackcurrent berries and accents of rose. Similarly priced to the Le Labo candles at $76 for a medium, this is another luxury. It’s also the favorite of a number of celebrities including John Mayer and Meghan Markle who used it for her wedding.
